Hello! I'm Toya.

I graduated from the University of Houston in 2007. I went there because after high school I really didn't have anything else penciled in so I figured why not. I have a bachelor of science degree.

My major was called Technology Leadership and Supervision. I had it customized to fit in with what I wanted to do which was web. But even though I filed like a million petitions to customize all my classes, all the work was way below my current level which left me terribly bored.

I personally feel that college is a waste of time and money. Though those online college commercials, that are on a constant annoying loop, seem to disagree. But I digress.

I heart design in all its forms. My personal favorites would have to be web and interior design. I'm completely self taught. I've been working with Photoshop and other Adobe software since 2002 and I've been practicing web development since 2003.

Music

I hate to admit it but in high school I listened to what was expected of me, what other people deemed to be cool. It took going to college to see how idiotic that truly was.

It's hard to believe now that I limited my genre selection to hip hop/pop.

These are the bands that are currently stuck on repeat on my iPod. Love 'em! I just can't get enough. I wish I could list every band I absolutely adore but thats an impossible task.

Books

I love YA romance books. I enjoy talking about how weak & idiotic the female lead is portrayed.

However, I love Vampire Diaries. Shadow Souls is my favorite because it's Damon heavy. Finally, a hot vampire that isn't depressed about being a vampire.

I actually HATE Ever (Evermore) but I like Damen & I want to know how the series ends. I read this because I couldn't find a copy of Shadow Souls at the time & I just stuck with the series. I find it annoying when people say its a rip off of Twilight. I could easily say Twilight is a rip off of Vampire Diaries. This sort of genre always have similar stories.
