The New Google Mobile Site

I use Google Search on my iPhone all the time. In fact, I think it may be the only search I've ever used on my phone. But that might change because Google recently updated the UI of their mobile search and sadly, it wasn't all for the better.

You've probably noticed all the pretty new icons. Don't get me wrong, I think the icons on the bottom are great. I can see that being useful for lots of people. It's the icons on the top that's so very wrong.

Has the Rapture Started?

While I was in NYC I saw a bunch of seemingly sane people but clearly mental, handing out pamphlets about the end of the world and the rapture. I did take one. I read as much of it as I was physically capable of reading but it really didn't make sense.

It seemed that someone just made up some kind of timeline of biblical events and counted from some random point in time to determine that today Jesus returns.

It's Finally Finished

I spent about a year on and off working on the actual design and then another month on and off coding the site and restructuring textpattern. I'm pretty sure this is the slowest redesign ever. But considering all the other things I had to do along side this, I suppose it wasn't so bad. I'm just happy its finished. Now I can spend time building new content which will be fun.

New Site Lauches in 5 Days!

I'm just putting the finishing touches on the design, new content (which I'll dish out a day at a time) and reorganizing the site structure. But I wanted everyone to have a little peak before it goes live. I really, really love the new look. It's by far the most colors I've ever used when designing for myself. Usually, I can't help but to be extra minimalistic and monochromatic but this time I went a little nuts.

I'm Already Missing HGTV

I seriously hope that AT&T and Scripps Network can come to some kind of an agreement so that I can have HGTV back. I'm seriously missing Color Splash: Miami and Sarah's House!

What amazing thing did David Bromstad do!? I have no idea because I don't have my friggin' HGTV. On the upside at least I'm not with Dish Network. I don't know what I'd do if I lost Fox. That's where I watch The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Cleavland Show, American Dad, Raising Hope and Glee.
