Tiny Little Blog

Alice in Wonderland. A combination of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. See more work

It's always something with this site...

I can never get a break with it comes to this site and I don’t have enough time to tend to all the little problems that occur that are related to this site. It’s quite frustrating.

I’m living a double life and its catching up with me. I’m still two separate people and I don’t know how to fix that.

My current annoyance, relating to this site, is with the Kelly Walsh High School website. This one I can’t begin to understand because they’re using my horizontal accordion script from like 4 years ago, which is fine, but instead of DOWNLOADING THE FREE TO USE COPY, the creator of their site opts to just copy the code from my copyrighted page. Why is this annoying? Because in addition to leaving me as the “author” or said website along with my name and various keywords associated with my site, they have also left my google analytics script in there. So I can’t trust any of my stats. Perfect. Wonderful. That’s just great.

I sent an email to their “webmaster” on June 16th, 2009 and I waited over a month for a reply or for them to at least remove the lines of code that I had requested they take out but of course, no response and no removal of my name/code.

I sent another email, this time to the principal and cc’ed various assistant principals so hopeful someone will be able to help me with what I think is fair and shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

Once again, I may have to make a claim or at least begin the process. I do detest paper work.

I’m really tired of the stress and various annoyances nyokiglitter brings me. My other world is so much easier. Its instances like this one, and the previous wordpress situation, that make me think that I should remove all tutorials and script/html snippets from my site. It had been my hope to return to this site and add more tutorials and things to help people but why? Why should I help anyone?

I think its time I changed my content.

Movie Review Quickie: Salvation & Origins

Terminator Salvation

OMG! WTF!?

Salvation was chuck full of action, explosions and pretty effects and sadly not much else. I really can't say much else about it. It was pretty much just some stuff that happened and then they rolled the credits. Save the your money and wait till they start showing it on TV.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

First, let me say I am sick and tired of comic books becoming movies. When I first saw the trailer for this, I had no intention of watching it. My mind was made up. I'd seen the first 3 X-Men movies and to me they were just ok. The same stuff happens. Magneto does something to piss them off, they fight, they win and it starts all over again. Yawn.

What made me change my mind about this one was when I saw the other trailer with Ryan Reynolds. I've got a short list of actors that will get me to go to the movies regardless of what they're in and Ryan Reynolds recently made the list. (Sadly this means I'll have to go see The Proposal.)

Anyway, this was by far one of the best action movies I've seen this summer! I was shocked! I wasn't expecting that at all. It was better than The Dark Knight and dare I say equal to Iron Man. Hugh Jackman was great! The story was great and Ryan was a kick ass Deadpool!

I highly recommend seeing this and if you do, there is stuff after the credits.

I Meant To But...

I meant to update sooner but there just isn’t enough hours in the day. So I got the whole worpress theme duplication thing sorted out. She removed it from her site without me having to contact the lawyer so that was good. That saved me loads of time. I do love the rude way in which she did it, she didn’t even take the time to say anything. She never responded to any of the messages I sent her. At least the last girl had the decency to say something. But in the end I just care that it was removed. I’m thinking that it’s going to take me a little longer than planned to put up all the copyright information.

I Love When People Take Credit for My Work!

Once again another random girl has decided to steal my design but this time it comes with a twist! She has made it into a wordpress theme. Now, there are lots of little mini nyokiglitters. Oh what fun! I do love all the comments she received on how great the design is and that its so pretty. How wonderful for her.

Her “template” was posted on the wordpress themes page but I’ve already contacted Wordpress and they’ve already suspended the design so that’s one problem solved. However she is still giving out the design on her site. I’ve contacted her but of course she hasn’t responded. I’ll give it another day.

Do you know that it took me months to create this design. MONTHS!!! Desaturating the wood was a 30 minute decision alone!

I checked out her domain information. She’s such a brave person. She has chosen a fake name. All she lists is Dodo as her name. I’m 99% sure you’re not suppose to make things up on your whois information. It doesn’t matter. I can still find her.

So in order to better protect my current and potentially future designs/code for this site, I will be adding the copyright information from the U.S. Copyright Office later this month. Hopefully, creating a page that lists out this information and showing that I am very serious about pressing charges will help people get the message. I’m seriously tired of this happening. It ends now.

I Didn't Die...

I’ve just been super duper busy. I’ve been doing almost a whole year of just straight texturing and I really think my brush control has improved. All the enhancing and cutouts for the new background is done with a brush. So since the vast majority of girls are currently mad crazy in love with Robert Pattinson, I thought he’d be a great subject. I use to be really bad at enhancing photos but I’m getting better. I love how the eyes came out…they dazzle. Yay.
