AIR Interactive
After a less than satisfactory performance at AIR Houston, we (The Robot Kittens) were able to redeem ourselves at AIR Interactive where we took 2nd place and People's Choice with our website for Girls Rock Camp
This time we had a month to do all the work instead of 8 hours. We also made a smart decision by not using our basic ModX install and opted for nice clean XHTML files. This way we had complete control over the code and there were no surprises.
The moment I learned that there was a People's Choice category, I knew that I wanted to be the designer for the competition. I didn't even care if we placed or not, just as long as we won that. Basically what they did for People's Choice was set up a booth at SXSW with all the sites out for display and people who stopped by could vote for their favorite.
