Side Accordion Starts Open

My side accordion never use to open when the page loaded but I finally fixed it, sort of.

I changed the tabs to <h3> tags and I added a <br /> after the third tab. Now I’ll admit it may not the best fix, but it works…for now. I think I just need to rewrite the entire thing. That usually fixes stuff. Right now I’m all about PHP so it’ll be a while before I go back to it. But if you know of a better way I’d love to hear about it.

hi toya,
i’m trying to use your 2 column in the redesign of the art dept. website. it seems to work in most browsers except in firefox. do you think it’s a ff issue or a js issue?
thanks for any help.
aaron.

there shouldn’t be a problem. it should work just fine in all browsers including firefox.

i looked at your site (on mac) and it works the same in firefox as it does in safari so i’m not sure what issue you’re talking about. can you tell me exactly what its doing or not doing?

Thank you SOOOOooooOOOO much for this tutorial file! Really helpful.

One question, I’ve placed a flash file in one of the divs and it does not appear. Do you know why that would be?

Again, many thanks.

I’m not sure about that one. I’ve never tried using moofx and flash together. I would imagine that modifications would be necessary. People write lots of articles about using javascript and flash together, unfortunately I’ve never read a single one.

Have you tried doing the whole thing in flash? If you have Flash MX 2004 there’s an accordion component that you can use to recreate fx.Accordion.

FYI: tried it using Firefox 1.5.0.6 on Windows 2000 and it works perfectly. Great job!
